Furniture Components – FAQ
What wood species do you use for furniture components?
We primarily work with beech, oak, ash and pine. Beech and oak are recommended for high-stress structural components such as chair frames. We can source other species on request.
What sanding grade do you supply components in?
Components are supplied sanded to P150 by default, ready for primer or direct lacquering. We can supply at P80, P100 or P180 on request depending on your finishing process.
Do you supply pre-drilled components for assembly?
Yes. We can CNC-drill precise pilot holes, dowel holes, confirmat holes and other joining preparations according to your assembly drawings. This simplifies and accelerates your production process.
Can you produce components to custom dimensions?
Yes. We produce to your exact specifications — any dimension, joint type or profile. Our CNC capabilities allow complex curved cuts, chamfers and routed profiles with sub-millimetre precision.
Do you offer lacquering of components in addition to machining?
Yes. Our in-house paint shop can lacquer components in any RAL or NCS colour before delivery, giving you a complete finished semi-product ready for upholstery or final assembly.
Precision Wooden Components for Furniture Manufacturers
Furniture upholstery workshops, hospitality fit-out companies and furniture assembly businesses frequently need a reliable external source of precisely manufactured wooden frames and components. Producing high-quality solid wood components in-house requires significant investment in CNC machinery, skilled operators and timber procurement — making outsourcing to a specialist like KONAR a highly cost-effective strategy. Our wood component production combines traditional craftsmanship with CNC precision: beech chair frames are cut and drilled to consistent dimensions, table bases are assembled with precision joinery, and bench frames are produced in batches of hundreds with identical dimensions. Every component that leaves our plant has been inspected for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
We supply furniture components to clients in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia and across Europe. Our components are used by upholstery workshops manufacturing hospitality seating, by furniture importers supplying branded components to retail clients, and by developers fitting out hotels and restaurant chains. The combination of factory-direct pricing, scalable serial production volumes and reliable export logistics makes KONAR a preferred wooden components supplier for B2B clients throughout Europe.
