In KONAR’s finishing booth, the marine coating cycle includes: a 2K PUR barrier isolating wood oils, a high-solid polyester spray filler building a 250–300 µm depth without grain sinkage, and an aliphatic 2K acrylic-polyurethane clear coat with triple UV absorption. Each coat is oven-cured and mechanically wet-sanded from P800 to P3000 before rotary compounding.

2. Hull Torsion Compensation and Expansion Joints

Yacht hulls twist and flex when navigating open water. Rigid cabinetry without engineered expansion gaps fractures over time. We machine 3D yacht interior components on 5-axis CNCs with flexible perimeter seals (MS Polymer adhesives) and utilize Lloyd’s Register certified marine plywood (Okoume/Birch AW100) veneered with 1.5–2.0 mm thick decorative hardwood sheets.
